Appearance: Pours a deep, dark, and cloudy brownish orange with a little bit of sediment. Moderate amount of bubbles and a huge six finger off white head which sticks for a bit then fades into a patchy layer. Moderate amount of lace.

Smell: Big fruity aroma. Dark malts with a big presence of dark fruits. Hints of raisins, dark grapes, prunes, figs, plums, dark berries, and a little apple. Good amount of Belgian yeast with some hints of clove. Also some brown sugar and a light hint of alcohol.

Taste: Somewhat spicy upfront with Belgian yeast and some clove spice. Some bready dark malts. Big taste of dark fruits takes over with notes of prunes, raisins, figs, grapes, berries, and plums. Hints of brown sugar. Also some earthy hops towards the finish that add a lightly bitter bite.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a medium to high level of carbonation. Chewy and pretty crisp. Finishes fairly dry. Alcohol is hidden very well.

Overall: A very solid authentic Dubbel. Very nice dark fruit flavors without being too thick or sweet.
